Description

Applications can use cross-platform positional 3D audio through a software OpenAL implementation. This helps games and multimedia software provide spatial sound without writing their own audio engine.

It is a runtime library, not a standalone audio player. Audio behavior depends on the application, device configuration, and selected backend.
