Description

Remote operating systems can be identified through active network fingerprinting. This is useful for authorized security assessment, inventory checks, and understanding what types of systems answer on a network.

Active fingerprinting sends probes to targets and can be considered intrusive. Use it only on networks and hosts where you have permission to test.
