Description
Changes the keyboard layout and XKB options for an X11 session from the command line. It helps users and administrators switch layouts, variants, compose-key behavior, or other X keyboard settings without using a full desktop settings panel.
The change applies to the current X session and may be overwritten by the desktop environment or login configuration. It is mainly for X11; Wayland sessions usually use compositor or desktop-specific keyboard settings.
