Description
Provides the X.Org display server that lets X11 desktop sessions show windows, receive input, and communicate with graphics drivers. It is a core part of traditional Linux graphical desktops and is still needed by sessions or applications that depend on X11.
Most users do not start it manually; a display manager or session script usually does that. Incorrect server, driver, or permission settings can prevent the graphical login from starting, so system-level changes should be made carefully.
