Description

Both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows programs can run on Linux through a compatibility setup without WoW64. This is useful for older applications that still require 32-bit support alongside 64-bit workloads.

Windows executables still carry normal software risks, including malware, network access, licensing, and file modification. Separate prefixes and backups help reduce damage when testing unknown software.

How to run

wine

Commands: wine
