Description
Windows programs can run on Linux through a Git development build of the compatibility layer. This is useful for testing newer compatibility fixes or running applications that need changes not yet in stable releases.
Windows executables still carry normal software risks, including malware, network access, licensing, and file modification. Git builds may also change behavior more often than stable packages.
