Supplies the browser-engine component Wine uses when Windows programs expect Internet Explorer web-rendering features. It helps installers and applications that embed legacy web views work without needing Microsoft's original Internet Explorer files.
This is a Wine support component, not a browser for normal web browsing. It is normally installed automatically when a Wine prefix needs it, and web content loaded by Windows applications should still be treated with caution.
