Local Whisper transcription can use the medium model data for whisper.cpp when higher accuracy is worth more disk, memory, and processing time. It is useful for longer recordings, subtitles, and workflows that need better recognition quality.
This is model data, not the transcription engine itself. Protect source recordings and generated text, and verify important transcripts before relying on them.
