Description
Wayland compositor behavior can be tested with the reference implementation from the upstream Git tree. This is useful for developers, protocol testers, and advanced users validating how Wayland clients behave.
It is not meant to replace a polished desktop environment for most users. Running a compositor changes the graphical session context and can affect input, display output, and application visibility.
