Description
Shares files over the network through the traditional FTP protocol, allowing other computers to upload or download content from configured directories. It is useful for controlled file-transfer setups, legacy workflows, lab networks, or internal systems that still depend on FTP.
This is a background service configured by an administrator, not a desktop file manager. Because FTP services expose files over the network and may handle user credentials, it should be configured carefully with firewall rules, account permissions, logging, and encryption choices appropriate to the environment.
