Compressed disk images can be written to removable drives and backups can be created from a minimal graphical image writer from a development build. usbimager is for users preparing boot media or cloning small storage devices.
Select the target device with extreme care. Image writers can erase disks, overwrite partition tables, copy sensitive data into images, and require elevated storage permissions.
