Description
Scheduled package maintenance can be automated through a command, systemd service, timer, sudoers rule, and cache-cleanup helper. upgrade is for administrators who intentionally schedule or standardize full system package workflows.
Audit `/etc/upgrade.conf`, sudoers rules, timers, and package-manager choices before enabling automation. Upgrade jobs can reboot expectations, remove cached packages, break DKMS modules, apply bad mirrors, or fail without an interactive recovery path.
