Description
Dynamic DNS records can be refreshed through DNS-O-Matic using a Perl updater, service, or timer. update-dnsomatic is for administrators whose changing public IP address must stay synchronized with OpenDNS or related DNS targets.
Protect `/etc/update-dnsomatic/config` because it stores account credentials. A wrong hostname, password, timer, or detected IP can break remote access, expose network location, or update DNS records for the wrong service.
