Description

CPU, process, filesystem, and shell performance can be measured with a classic Unix-like benchmark suite. This is useful for comparing machines, kernels, and system changes with a simple repeatable score.

Benchmarks put sustained load on the system and can distort results if other tasks are running. On laptops or servers, watch temperature, power, and workload impact.
