MIPS R2/3000 systems can be simulated for operating-systems coursework and low-level experiments. uMPS3 is useful for students and educators building or debugging software around a MIPS-like virtual machine.
Run only trusted disk images, kernels, and sample programs. Simulators can write virtual storage, consume CPU, and produce misleading results if toolchain versions differ.
