Memory deduplication can be coordinated in user space by a KSM helper daemon built from the CachyOS source without a systemd dependency. It is for advanced users tuning RAM use on supported kernels.
Enable it only after understanding workload and security tradeoffs. KSM can change memory behavior, affect performance, and has side-channel considerations on multi-tenant or hostile systems.
