Inline status-bar icons can use this patched Material Icons Regular font for i3status-rust. It helps status bars render the Material icon set inline with text without spacing problems from the unpatched font.
Select or configure it in the status bar setup that expects the patched font. The package installs font files only and is mainly useful with i3status-rust or similar text-based bars.
