Text fallback can use DejaVu without emoji codepoints so color emoji fonts remain preferred. This derivative is useful when DejaVu would otherwise override emoji rendering in applications or fontconfig fallback.
Select or prioritize the DejaVu Emojiless family through font settings or fontconfig. The package installs fonts and fontconfig snippets, but no separate app.
