Long-form reading on low-resolution or constrained displays can use Bitstream Charter, a serif typeface by Matthew Carter. This package installs TTF, OTF, and fontconfig configuration for local document and desktop use.
Select Charter in document or desktop font settings. It changes available font choices and aliases, but does not run a background service.
