Files targeted by rm-like shell workflows can be redirected into the trash instead of being permanently unlinked. Trash-d is a D implementation for users who want a near drop-in safer removal command. It can still remove many paths quickly and recovery depends on trash state, so aliases and scripts should be tested before replacing rm.
