Magnet URI downloads can be handed from makepkg to Transmission through a small download-agent helper. It is useful for package maintainers who need PKGBUILDs to fetch torrent-backed sources with a consistent command. Magnet downloads still use peer-to-peer networking, so source trust, legal rights, daemon configuration, and cleanup behavior need review.
