ThinkPad battery lifetime and runtime modes can be managed through a small command and systemd service. tp-battery-mode depends on tpacpi-bat and is useful for laptop users who switch charging thresholds for travel or battery longevity. It writes hardware battery settings, so unsupported models or wrong thresholds can reduce runtime or charging reliability.
