Description
Old temporary files can be removed automatically through a script and daily cron entry. Administrators install it to keep /tmp from accumulating stale data on systems without another cleanup policy. Deletion rules can remove active work, sockets, caches, or recovery files if age thresholds and exclusions are wrong.
