Self-hosted tmate terminal sharing can be served from the current git build of the tmate SSH server. Administrators install it to control the relay used by shared terminal sessions instead of relying on public infrastructure. SSH keys, session routing, exposed ports, logs, invited users, and server compromise are high-risk concerns.
