Countdowns can be started from a simple beeping terminal timer built from the current git source. Shell users install it when they want a lightweight reminder for breaks, tasks, or short waits. Audible alerts, terminal history, scripted waits, and automation behavior should match the environment where it runs. Git-build regressions are possible.
