Description
Shares block storage over the network as an iSCSI target. It is useful for administrators who need another machine, hypervisor, or appliance to see network-backed storage as if it were a local disk.
Configure it carefully: iSCSI can expose raw storage, destroy data if clients write to the wrong target, and should be protected with network controls and authentication.
