Description

Provides the system and service manager used to boot the system, start services, track units, manage logs integration, and coordinate many low-level system functions. It is core infrastructure on many Linux distributions.

Keep it when the system is built around systemd. Administrators interact with it through commands such as systemctl and journalctl.
