Description
Adds SMTP support to syslog-ng so selected log events can trigger email delivery or be routed through mail infrastructure. It is useful for alerting workflows where critical events should reach administrators by email.
Emailing logs can expose sensitive event data and flood inboxes if filters are too broad. Use test recipients, rate limits, and careful filtering before production alerts.
