Description

Emulates a TPM device for virtual machines, test environments, and tooling that needs trusted-platform behavior without a physical TPM. It is useful for secure-boot experiments, measured-boot testing, disk-encryption workflows, and VM compatibility.

TPM state can protect keys and affect whether encrypted systems boot correctly. Back up VM state carefully and avoid mixing test TPM data with production secrets.
