Precompiled command-line tools can be downloaded and managed without writing custom install scripts. This CLI package manager installs the stew command for finding, installing, and updating compiled binaries from upstream releases. It is aimed at developers and power users; it downloads executable files from the network and can change what commands run from the user environment.
