Text-to-speech output can be routed through a device-independent speech dispatcher daemon. Desktop accessibility tools and clients use it to send spoken messages to engines such as eSpeak NG, Festival, PulseAudio, PipeWire, or other configured modules. Spoken text may include private screen-reader content, notifications, or document text.
