Network flow records can be generated from observed traffic and exported to a NetFlow collector. Operators run `softflowd` as a probe to summarize conversations for monitoring, capacity planning, or incident response. Flow metadata can reveal internal communication patterns, so interfaces and collectors should be scoped.
