Description

Secure Boot systems can start a trusted Linux boot chain through prebuilt signed shim binaries. This is useful for distributions or custom setups that need UEFI Secure Boot compatibility before loading the main bootloader.

It is boot infrastructure, not a desktop app. Bootloader changes can prevent a machine from starting, so users should keep recovery media and understand the trust chain before installing it.
