shc

Converts shell script to C source code, and then compiles it. Do NOT use this to encrypt your scripts as it is not meant to be used for that.

Description

Shell scripts can be wrapped into generated C source and compiled into executables. This is useful for packaging or distribution cases where a script should be shipped as a binary wrapper.

It is a command-line developer tool, not real script encryption. The original logic can still be recovered with effort, and generated binaries should not be treated as a way to hide secrets.
