Highlights source code in many languages using a pure Ruby implementation compatible with Pygments-style output. It is useful for documentation sites, code viewers, static generators, and developer tools.
Syntax highlighting should not execute code, but highlighted output can still expose private snippets. Escape rendered HTML and avoid publishing internal source accidentally.
