Enables Ruby clients and services to communicate through gRPC. It is useful for typed service APIs, microservices, streaming calls, and systems that share Protocol Buffer contracts.
RPC boundaries need authentication, deadlines, retries, and input validation. Test generated clients with real server behavior, especially for streaming and error handling.
