Description
Maps RPC program numbers to network addresses for services that use Remote Procedure Call. It is commonly needed by NFS and other RPC-based network services so clients can find the right service endpoint.
Keep it when using NFS or software that depends on classic RPC discovery. It runs as a background service and usually has no direct user interface.
