Description
Manages and feeds random-number generator sources used by the system. It is useful on systems where hardware RNG devices or entropy services need to improve randomness availability for cryptography and other security-sensitive work.
Randomness affects keys, tokens, and secure protocols. Configure only trusted entropy sources, because poor or manipulated randomness can weaken system security.
