Description
Prevents build outputs from depending on the machine hostname by supplying controlled hostname behavior. It helps maintainers avoid artifacts that accidentally reveal build infrastructure or differ across workers.
This belongs in reproducible-build environments, not normal system administration. Masking host identity can make logs less obvious, so document the configured value used for each build.
