Description
Quartus Prime Lite can use device information for MAX-family targets during project setup and hardware preparation. This is useful when an FPGA or CPLD project depends on supported MAX devices.
It is hardware metadata consumed by the Quartus tools, not a separate application. The practical effect is correct device selection and tool support; choosing the wrong target data can produce unusable hardware output.
