Hanging tests can be stopped by pytest after configured timeouts in legacy Python 2 suites. This plugin helps CI jobs fail fast instead of waiting indefinitely on blocked tests.
Timeouts interrupt test code and may leave external resources or subprocesses behind. Choose limits carefully and clean up fixtures.
