Sentiment scores can be estimated for social-media style text and short messages. This Python library implements the VADER lexicon and rules so analysis scripts can classify text as more positive, negative, or neutral.
It is imported by NLP tools and research code rather than opened directly. Sentiment output is approximate and should not be treated as a definitive judgment about people or communities.
