Local application settings can be stored through a portable Python helper. This library gives programs a consistent way to save and load per-user configuration values across operating systems.
It is imported by applications and may read or write configuration files selected by its storage rules. Callers should avoid putting secrets in plain settings files unless they add appropriate protection.
