Water distribution networks can be simulated for pressure waves and transient events. This Python library applies the Method of Characteristics to help engineers and researchers study hydraulic behavior after valve changes, pump trips, or other operating events.
It is used from scripts and notebooks, not as a standalone app. Simulation output should be checked against engineering assumptions before decisions about real infrastructure.
