Programs in a separate network namespace can route application or system traffic through configured proxy servers. This tool is for advanced users testing network paths, privacy setups, or restricted environments. Proxying can expose credentials and traffic metadata to the proxy and can break connectivity, so proxy trust, DNS behavior, and rollback plans matter.
