Description

System responsiveness under memory pressure can improve when frequently used executables and shared libraries stay resident in RAM. This daemon locks selected memory-mapped binaries and libraries so they are less likely to be paged out during low-memory conditions. It is for administrators and power users; tuning affects RAM availability and may change how the system behaves under load.
