Low-latency audio and video routing can be handled by the full Git build of PipeWire. This system media service is useful for users and administrators who need the current development version of PipeWire routing, processing, and session integration. It runs as the pipewire.service user daemon when configured. Media routers affect microphones, cameras, screen capture, and Bluetooth audio, so service state and permissions need care.
