Text can be converted into natural-sounding speech locally, without sending the content to an online service. It is useful for screen-reader experiments, voice prompts, automation, language tools, and applications that need offline speech output.
This is mainly a command-line engine. Users normally pair it with Piper voice packages, scripts, accessibility tools, or other programs that feed text and save or play the generated audio.
