Description
Developers and administrators can validate Prometheus alerting and recording rules before deploying them. This helps catch syntax errors, risky expressions, and policy problems in monitoring configuration.
It is a command-line validation tool. Passing validation does not prove alerts are useful, so rule behavior should still be tested against realistic metrics.
