MIDI files can be played with selected SoundFont instruments from a simple desktop player. This audio app is useful for musicians and users who need quick playback of MIDI songs without a full sequencer. It is launched as an application with the pineapple-midi-player command. MIDI files and SoundFonts are usually low risk, though unexpected volume and shared audio output should be checked.
